ANDREW DAWS

British born Andrew Daws was educated at the University of Westminster in London and Glasgow University. He has worked for several design firms since, most notably for Richard Seifert and Partners, and CZWG Architects LLP, as a design partner responsible for several high-profile and award-winning buildings. He has master-planned several mixed-use commercial and residential projects in the UK and Ireland such as the new residential quarter called Royal Quays, for Dublin, Eire, and the Vaux Site masterplan for Sunderland in the UK. Waterman’s Place, in Leeds, UK, a high quality residential redevelopment project, won several design and achievement awards. Similarly, Andrew designed Vermilion, an iconic mixed use residential scheme that was responsible for kick-starting further regeneration in the area.

More recently, Andrew has been Design Director for a major Indian developer, Bhartiya City Developers PVT, completing innovative and cost-effective designs for affordable homes to be built across India. For Bhartiya he has also designed an innovative new school for Bhartiya City, Bangalore, which will complete in 2020, and a 40,000sq ft house in Delhi for the chairman of the company. He continues to have an overview of several of Bhartiya Chairman’s new and future projects.

As principle and lead designer at Daws and Kahlon, Andrew has produced designs for several houses and estates, both in Delhi and in Chandigarh, and new office developments in Mohali, Panchkula, and Delhi-Gurugram.

He travels extensively, and regularly visits the UK. He is proud to be working in India and aims to bring his extensive design skills, understanding, and experience to bear on the fast-evolving Indian built environment, to meet the aspirational needs of new clients.
